Two new mechanized cutting innovations now available for Powermax SYNC systems deliver what fabricators want most: higher productivity and better part quality. Developed and tested by Hypertherm, these technologies are fully integrated into Hypertherm CNC and CAM software to simplify adoption and maximize performance.

HySpeed Enabled Technology

Traditional air plasma cutting has always balanced quality and productivity. HySpeed Enabled technology changes that equation.

By reducing cut-to-cut process time and enabling significantly faster cutting speeds on thin mild steel, HySpeed Enabled technology closes the productivity gap versus light industrial fiber laser on thin mild steel, helping fabricators complete nests faster and increase throughput without changing cutting processes.

Optimized Hole Cutting: Better Hole Quality with Less Rework

Producing high-quality holes with air plasma has traditionally required compromises. Optimized hole cutting addresses that challenge by reducing hole taper and minimizing entry/exit imperfections on holes and slots. 

The result is more accurate bolt-clearance holes, reduced secondary operations, and improved finished-part quality.

Key Benefits

  • Significantly reduced hole taper with aspect ratios from 1:1 to 4:1
    on mild steel from 0.4 mm to 20 mm (26 GA to ¾") thickness.

  • Cleaner holes and slots with fewer dings or divots.

  • Improved bolt-clearance performance.

  • Less grinding, drilling, and downstream rework.

  • Available across FineCut®, 45A, 65A, 85A, and 105A cutting processes.
