Long-term support

A Powermax® owner/operator will often boast about how long they’ve been using their plasma cutter and how well it has served their needs over many years and sometimes decades. These customer testimonials and stories often inspire others to purchase a Powermax plasma cutter―a wise investment.

Best warranty, best investment

We know that Powermax’s are designed and built for reliability.  Because they are very robust and customers deserve the best warranty for their best investment we announced in June, 2025 that our warranty period for Powermax power supplies has doubled, from 3 to 6 years coverage, retroactive to the January 1, 2025. This decision demonstrates our confidence in our plasma technology and our commitment to our customers, who deserve peace of mind in the investments they make.

Support for products after they are no longer manufactured

In addition to a very long warranty period, we’re committed to supporting Powermax with replacement parts and service for at least ten years after we stop manufacturing the power supplies. In fact, 13 Powermax and Max models have been supported for an average of 20 years with replacement parts and consumables after we stopped power supply production.

Powermax product lifecycle

So customers know what to expect when investing in a Powermax system, we break our Powermax product lifecycle into five distinct product categories.

Active product – the power supply is currently being manufactured, and all torches, repair parts, and consumables are available with full technical service support.

Legacy product – the power supply is no longer manufactured, but all torches, repair parts, and consumables remain available for a minimum of 10 years with full technical service support.

Vintage product – the power supply is no longer manufactured, but select torches, repair parts, and consumables remain available. No direct service is available, self-service only.

Obsolete product – the power supply is no longer manufactured, and torches and repair parts are no longer available, but limited consumables remain. No direct service is available, self-service only.

End-of-life product – the power supply is no longer manufactured, and all torches, repair parts, and consumables have been discontinued. No direct service is available, self-service only.
