SME Media features an article from Jenny Levy, Hypertherm’s Vice President of People, Community and Environment titled Advancing STEM Pathways in Manufacturing. Since finding enough skilled workers to fill open positions is challenging for any organization, she discusses the STEM programs and partnerships Hypertherm engages in to encourage the next generation of manufacturing experts. Levy says, “Research shows that the earlier a child is exposed to STEM activities, the more excited that they are to learn about problems-solving and critical thinking. Early exposure also increases the likelihood of that child envisioning themselves as a scientist, engineer, or developer”
