Information collection and usage
We monitor how visitors use the Hypertherm Web Sites and we collect data including, but not limited to, numbers of visitors and visits, pages visited, geo-location data, length of time spent on the site, device and browser information.
We collect and process personal data such as name, business email, business phone, company name and company address that you provide to us by submitting any form on Hypertherm Web Sites. If you are or were an actual or prospective customer of Hypertherm, we may also collect and process limited information about you from third-party service providers, such as subscription-based services.
Hypertherm uses the collected data to communicate with you, to customize content for you, to show you ads on other websites, and to improve its website by analyzing how you navigate the Hypertherm Web Sites. We want to communicate with you only if you want to hear from us. If you prefer not to receive information from us, you can unsubscribe anytime using the unsubscribe link that is included in any email you may receive from us. Please be sure to include your email address, full name, and specifically what information you do not want to receive. If you would like to update or correct your email address, street address or other personal information with us please use the contact forms on Hypertherm Web Sites.
In addition, when you purchase from us online or through our catalogs, or when you choose to enter a sweepstakes or other promotion, we may need to contact you via phone, email or mail to address questions or issues specific to your order, entry, etc., even if you have opted to not receive communications. Please remember, if you delete certain information you may not be able to continue to purchase products or access other portions of our web site without entering additional information.

Sharing personal data
Hypertherm does not sell or rent personal information collected on the Hypertherm Web Sites outside the Hypertherm Company.
Hypertherm sells its products through channels partners. When you contact us regarding purchasing a Hypertherm product or service, we may share your personal data with a channel partner in order to fulfill your request.
Third-Party Service Providers: We may share your Personal Data with third-party service providers who are under contract Hypertherm. Such sharing of information helps us provide services to you and process Personal Data on our behalf for the above-mentioned purposes. We may, retain a third party to help us determine what marketing information you might find useful. The service providers are bound by law and/or contract to protect the confidentiality and security of personal data, and to only process your personal data to provide requested services and only act on our documented instructions.
Security with encryption
We use sophisticated encryption and authentication tools to protect the security of your personal information that you share with us. Currently, Hypertherm offers Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) mode for privacy and security encryption. Unfortunately, however, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee or warrant the security of any information you transmit to or from our web sites, and you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your transmission, we will use all commercially reasonable efforts to protect its security on our systems.
Hypertherm web server security setup
Hypertherm servers throughout the network are registered using industry-standard certificate techniques. This enables all communication between our servers to be verified when services are requested between our computers.
All of the personal information collected from you on the Site, including names, addresses, are stored behind a "firewall," and defenses have been erected to seek to enhance the protection of your information.
Collection of information by third-party sites and sponsors
Our sites contain links to other sites whose information practices may be different than ours. Visitors should also consult the other sites' privacy notices as we may have no control over information that is submitted to, or collected by, these third parties.
Hypertherm posts information about programs and events that are sponsored by or co-sponsored by other organizations. Should you choose to register electronically for any of these events, Hypertherm will have no control over the third-party sponsors' use of this information.
However, in the case of third party data collection, such as for lead ads, both the third party and Hypertherm may be data controllers. Therefore, both parties are responsible for ensuring compliance by providing notice and establishing a legal basis for processing the data provided by a data subject. We are currently reviewing our disclosures to determine whether any changes need to be made regarding data subject consent to sending their data to Hypertherm and further processing by Hypertherm.

Hypertherm cooperates with law enforcement inquiries, as well as other third parties, to enforce laws. We can (and you authorize us to) disclose any information about you to law enforcement or other government officials as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate, in connection with an investigation of fraud, intellectual property infringements, or other activity that is illegal or may expose us, service or content providers we work with, or you to possible legal liability.
