Hypertherm, a U.S. based manufacturer of plasma, laser, and waterjet cutting systems, is preparing for IMTS 2016. This year the company offers live waterjet cutting with a HyPrecision pump and PowerDredge abrasive removal system, comparative cutting displays, and demonstrations of its ProNest 2017 and Robotmaster robotic software.

Hypertherm is also partnering with WARDJet on the Build It! Challenge for mechanically-minded students. Teams will compete to build a working waterjet cutting system and win a waterjet for their school’s machining lab.

In addition, the company will present Robotic Programming for High-Mix Applications as part of the official IMTS educational program. Hypertherm Automation leader Peter Brahan partners with Chahe Bazmakjian, leader of Hypertherm’s Robotic Software team, to demonstrate how recent advances in programming are enabling a new wave of robotics in manufacturing.

The International Manufacturing Technology Show is one of the largest industrial trade shows in the world, featuring more than 2,000 exhibiting companies and 114,000 registrants. This year’s show runs from September 12-17 at Chicago’s McCormick Place Convention Center. Hypertherm will display from the Center’s North Hall in Booths N-6515 and N-6322.

Hypertherm designs and manufactures advanced cutting products for use in a variety of industries such as shipbuilding, manufacturing, and automotive repair. Its product line includes plasma, laser and waterjet cutting systems, in addition to CNC motion and height controls, CAM nesting software, robotic software, and consumables. Hypertherm systems are trusted for performance and reliability that result in increased productivity and profitability for hundreds of thousands of businesses. The New Hampshire based company’s reputation for cutting innovation dates back nearly 50 years to 1968, with Hypertherm’s invention of water injection plasma cutting. The 100 percent associate owned company, consistently named one of the best places to work in America, has more than 1,400 associates along with operations and partner representation worldwide.
