When we sat down to design our newest facility in New Hampshire, we had a lot of objectives we wanted to meet. One of those objectives included creating plenty of space for customer training. In addition to two large classrooms and an auditorium, our new facility, which opened in early 2013, includes a very large cutting technology center. This center is nearly 5,000 square feet and contains a number of different cutting technologies including an oxy torch, laser system, and lots of plasma. Though we're always happy to welcome people to New Hampshire, we realize not everyone can make it up our way.
For that reason, we like to hit the road once in a while and come to you. This week, we're excited to travel up to Conestoga College in Cambridge, Ontario for two days of training as part of the Hypertherm Cutting Institute Educational Series. These workshops start with our Advanced Productivity Training. As you might expect by the name, this training is meant to make your business more productive and profitable. Hypertherm experts like Jim Colt and Dan McLenithan explain the differences between the cutting technologies available today and show you how to choose the method that is right for your particular application. You'll also learn how to extend the life of your consumables, (did you know Jim estimates most companies toss their consumables with 40 percent of life remaining?) troubleshoot motion control issues, and increase your material utilization rate.
Day 2 is all about ProNest. During our ProNest Power User training, our experts share advanced, process-specific, programming techniques (plasma, laser, oxyfuel, or waterjet ) and also talk about powerful production tools such as the integration of ProNest to an ERP/MRP system, Work Order flow and Plate Inventory synchronization.
