Beyond lean webinar
We're excited to partner with Kevin Duggan next week for a webinar on Lean manufacturing. A renowned speaker, author, educator, and expert on operational excellence, Kevin is the founder of the Institute for Operational Excellence, and president of Duggan Associates, an international training and advisory firm that assists companies in applying advanced lean techniques. He is the author of three books on the subject including Design for Operational Excellence: A Breakthrough Strategy for Business Growth.
Kevin talks a lot about the design criteria and guidelines that enable companies to grow their business organically. He explains that to do this, everyone at the company needs to be empowered. All employees (or at Hypertherm, Associates) need to be able to identity and "self-heal" (fix) problems. Management can then focus their attention on growing the business rather than running it.
