Plasma vs. oxyfuel

Oh the debate as to which is the best process could go on and on. Truth is, they're both great processes. That might just explain why both have such a long history of use among people needing to cut metal. The key, though, is choosing the process that is right for each particular cutting need. Jobs are different as are the tools you'll need. Here are some quick advantages of each process that we can think of:

Oxyfuel
- Portable, no power or air connection
- Cuts a wide thickness of carbon steel
- Well accepted cut process
- Can be used for heating, loosening
- Ability for limited gouging

Plasma
- Small, lightweight power supply
- Can cut all metals, not just steel
- Virtually no operator training
- No flammable gases or oxygen
- Safe, easy process
- Faster than oxy-fuel

Are we missing anything?
