Phoenix Software Controller Updates
Phoenix® Software is the Hypertherm branded CNC control software. The design of the software is centered on combining advanced cutting capability with an easy to use graphical user interface that allows the end user a full range of application flexibility. The release of Version 8 focuses on functionality for both easier table operation and serviceability. Using the new CutPro™ Wizard, it is now possible to reduce the time for a new operator to be able to cut a good part from a prepared file to less than 5 minutes.
Below is the latest version of software for each class of controllers. Updates within each main version number (for example V7, or V6, etc.) are provided free of charge. In some cases these updates will include new features, or they may simply have bug fixes. If you are in doubt about downloading and installing a software update please contact Technical Support at Hypertherm and we will be glad to discuss your requirements.
If your requirements (and the hardware capabilities of your control) dictate that a change between main version numbers is required then there will be a nominal charge for the update. Please contact Technical or Customer Support at Hypertherm for further information on the hardware requirements and possible costs involved with a change.
For Versions 1 - 5, go to the document Library and type in Software under "Category" to see what is available for downloading.
| Each version section below includes files needed to completely update a controller: VERY IMPORTANT : When updating your CNC to the latest version using the download files, it is critical to install the new files in the following sequence: Update the software files first Update the help file Update the cut charts This will prevent installation of cut charts with a software version that does not support them. |
The files below include: Release bulletin Update disk images - either as disks or upload to a memory stick (thumb drive) Help file images Drivers for the HASP device installed on your system Cut chart data which you download as a single zip file and expand onto a memory stick. Place the memory stick into a USB port and select "load cut chart" from the cut charts screen on the controller.
