A nonprofit that repairs homes for people in need and recycles used building supplies. Hypertherm associates work in teams to repair at least one home each month. Hypertherm volunteers go into a classroom once each week for six weeks to teach children business skills. Everybody Wins!
Associates volunteer an hour of their time once a week to read to a child in elementary school. For many children, this is the only time they receive one-on-one committed attention from an adult. These children are identified by their teachers as children who could benefit from this kind of attention and help with reading. The program is named appropriately-everybody does win: the child, the volunteer, and the teacher whose limited resources are expanded through this program. Learn to Earn
Hypertherm engineers take a day to teach in a high school classroom, and then periodically spend a day or more in the classroom helping students see the connection between science and math in the real world. Adopt-a-Road
Locally, Hypertherm Associates petitioned the State of New Hampshire to adopt the road on which we are located. At least four times a year, Hypertherm teams pick up garbage along the road. Upper Valley United Way
The company supports a strong in-house campaign each year and matches associates' contributions on a dollar-for-dollar basis. Hypertherm associates contributed more than $50,000 to the United Way last year alone. That amount was fully matched by Hypertherm for a total contribution of more than $100,000.
