Wall and ceiling framing

‘C’ shaped, galvanized steel channels, typically 10 to 20 gauge (3.4 to .9 mm) thick, are cut to length for use as studs in wall and ceiling framing. Holes are then cut for running conduit.
System: Powermax190c, 30 or 45

Floor and roof truss fabrication

‘C’ and other shaped galvanized steel channels, typically 16 to 22 gauge (1.5 to .8 mm) thick, are cut to length for truss fabrication.
System: Powermax190c, 30 or 45

Roofing, siding and decking installation

Corrugated steel panels, typically 12 to 26 gauge (2.7 to .5 mm) thick, are cut to the needed size for industrial and architectural roofing, siding and decking (floor and roof). Installation of roof vents, skylights, or duct work requires the cutting of openings in panels.
System: Powermax190c, 30 or 45
Key advantages of Powermax® systems
  • Superior speed of plasma cutting results in shorter cut times and greater productivity over processes such as oxyfuel or saws.
  • Easy to set up and operate.
  • Piercing capability makes starting interior cuts easy.
  • High cut quality reduces or eliminates secondary operations, such as grinding.
  • Drag-cutting technology makes it easy to follow a line or template.
  • Gouging process efficiently removes existing welds with reduced noise and smoke over conventional methods.
  • System portability offers ease of use at various locations.
  • Controlled arc and high cutting speeds reduce heataffected zone and warping.
  • Cut a variety of ferrous and non-ferrous metals including mild steel, stainless and aluminum – painted or rusted.
