Green Team and Associate Engagement
Our Green Team is entirely made up of Associates who volunteer their time to building our environmental initiatives. We have representation across all our Teams which brings in varied experiences and perspectives. The Green Team reviews and works on Green Continuous Improvement ideas (CIAs) from around the company. They serve as Green Champions, working with every team on setting and working towards their Green Business Indicators (GBIs). Every year they choose a set of projects to focus on, including areas such as cafeteria practices, associate education, commuting programs, and products in use.
Our cafeteria sources as much as it can from local, organic producers. We have CSA membership with a Vermont organic farm which delivers fresh produce to its Hypertherm members weekly in the summer. In the growing months a New Hampshire organic farm sets up a farm stand on site here and offers the freshest available fruits and vegetables available at the time.
